Job Description for Clubhouse Daycare Provider

The primary function of daycare providers is to provide a program that supports child development of social foundations, language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, motor skills and physical well being, and fine arts. The program should aid the child in a gradual adjustment from home to school life.

The applicant must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior training and/or experience in early childhood education or child development is strongly preferred. Must successfully pass the required background checks and all requirements of the Toledo Diocese Virtus program prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment. The applicant must be willing to attend required classes and training to be eligible to work in a licensed childhood program.

Clubhouse employees have the responsibilities outlined below:

  • Plan appropriate activities designed to meet the needs and abilities of the children in the program.
  • Provide the class with opportunities to work together to promote social growth.
  • Encourage independence, self-confidence and positive self-image through a variety of activities.
  • Select activities that provide for both quiet and active play.
  • Provide an attractive, stimulating environment in which to learn.
  • Provide a loving, caring, atmosphere.
  • Ensure the safety of all children in your care.
  • Carry out the schedule of the day.
  • Observe student to adult ratios as stated by the Ohio Department of Education.
  • Observe the hours established by the Director of the Early Childhood Center and/or the Elementary Principal.
  • Post communication of activities and snacks in an agreed upon format for parents.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and adhere to NCS guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • School age operating hours will be 6am -9am and 2:30pm-6:30pm Monday through Friday.
  • Preschool clubhouse operating hours are 6am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday and will vary based on scheduling needs.

Maintenance and/or Housekeeping Depending on SKILL SET

Hours: Full-time- 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities

Pay: Commiserate with experience

Job Objective: Serves as a member of the Maintenance/Housekeeping team

General Summary: To proactively work, as a member of the team, to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all the buildings within Norwalk Catholic School

Minimum Requirements:

  • Practicing Catholic Preferred: Help carry on the mission of Christ’s church.
  • Must successfully pass the required background check and all requirements of the Toledo Diocese VIRTUS program prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess and maintain a Valid State Driver’s license
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver
  • Ability to identity areas that need attention to improve the health, safety, and wellbeing of the buildings
  • Technical skill in cleaning, general repairs, and building maintenance preferred
  • Must be able to bend, stretch and stoop, but not limited to these physical activities:
    • Requires lifting of 40 lbs. or more without aid
    • Requires normal eye, hand and walking coordination
    • Must be able to work from ladders as well as a scissors lift
    • Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed

POSITION: SUbstitute Teacher

Job Objective:Serves as a substitute teacher for Norwalk Catholic Schools.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold a current Ohio Department of Education Substitute license/certification

  • Maintain excellent classroom behavior management
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Provide exemplary communication skills to parents, staff, and stakeholders
  • Work well with fellow staff members in a professional learning community to ensure what is best for our students
  • Build positive, productive, professional, relationships with students
  • Have an understanding of technology pertinent to the classroom including Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Smart Technologies, PowerSchool, and document cameras
